How trust works
One connected loop, not four separate features.
Sowo combines a few mechanisms into one connected model, so you can see who you’re dealing with before you book. We call it the Trust Loop, and here is how the pieces fit together, one step leading to the next.
The loop, step by step

You book a provider
You choose a provider and agree the work. Look for the verified tick if ID matters to you.

Payment is held by Stripe
Your payment is authorised and held by Stripe, not paid out yet.

The job is done
The provider completes the work you agreed.
- 4
You confirm
You confirm the job is done, or flag a problem while the payment is still held.

Payment is released
Once you confirm, the held payment is released to the provider.

You can leave a review
After a completed, paid booking or order, the customer becomes eligible to leave a review.

You come back
If you book the same provider again, that repeat relationship is recorded.

You add a named vouch
A repeat customer can vouch for a provider by name, a stronger signal than a star.

Trust history grows
Every completed loop adds to a provider’s record, so their reputation deepens over time.
The rules, stated plainly
- A review can only be left after a completed, paid booking or order.
- A vouch can only be given by a customer who has booked the same provider more than once, and it carries their name.
- Every provider passes a review by our team before their profile goes live. Identity verification is what earns the blue seal.
- Edit a live profile and it goes back for review before the change is public.
The loop closes on itself: a richer trust history helps a provider get chosen, and every booking that follows adds more real, earned signal. That’s what makes a reputation on Sowo slow to build and hard to copy.
The mechanisms, one by one
Verified identity
Every provider is reviewed by the Sowo team before their profile goes live. Providers can also verify their identity, which earns the verified seal and shows there is a known person behind the profile.
Protected payments
Payments are authorised and held by Stripe, Sowo’s payment provider, and only released to the provider after the agreed work is confirmed done. If something goes wrong first, the held payment can be returned to you.
Reviews tied to real work
A review can only come from a completed, paid booking or order. That won’t stop every bad experience, but it does mean a profile can’t be padded with reviews from people who never booked.
Repeat-customer vouches
Someone who has booked a provider more than once can add a named vouch. A person willing to put their name to a repeat relationship carries more weight than an anonymous rating.
Why trust improves over time
Each of these signals is tied to a real transaction, and they accumulate. The more a provider works and delivers, the richer and harder-to-fake their history becomes.
