Cookies

Last updated: 5 June 2026

Sowo uses two kinds of cookie: one strictly-necessary cookie that is always on, and analytics cookies that are off until you choose to turn them on.

Strictly-necessary cookie

A session cookie that Supabase sets when you sign in, so we know which account is making each request. It is removed when you sign out. Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), strictly-necessary cookies do not need consent.

Analytics (off by default)

We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how Sowo is used so we can improve it. We never use it for advertising. Because analytics is not strictly necessary, PECR requires your consent first, so it is off until you accept.

The first time you visit, you will see a banner with Accept analytics and Reject. Google Analytics, and the cookies it uses, are only loaded if you accept. If you reject, or simply ignore the banner, no Google Analytics cookie is set and no analytics data is sent. We remember your choice in a small first-party cookie (sowo_consent_analytics) for 180 days, then ask again.

You can change your mind at any time:

What we do not use

No advertising cookies, no third-party trackers, no fingerprinting. The site does not contain Facebook Pixel, Hotjar, PostHog or anything similar.

If that changes

If we ever add another analytics or non-essential cookie, we will show it in the consent banner first, default it to off, and update this page on the same day so you know what changed and why.

Browser controls

You can clear cookies or block them in your browser settings. If you block the Supabase session cookie, you will not be able to stay signed in to Sowo.
